The year 2000 brought many surprises! One of them was getting married and another was getting pregnant! I was 200 lbs. when I got pregnant and to my surprise I only gained about 25 pounds during my pregnancy. I was devastated because I had heard of many women gaining weight after giving birth, or not losing the weight they had put on. I made up my mind, not me!
I began The Slim·Fast plan in January of 2001. I had a shake for breakfast, one for lunch, a healthy snack and a sensible dinner just as the plan suggested. I also began walking/jogging. By the mid-end of 2002, I went from a size 16/18 to an 8/10. I am so proud of myself. I know my friends get tired of me bragging, but I am so pleased.
Now, I continue drinking a shake for breakfast and eating somewhat sensibly the rest of the day. I have added two miles to my running routine because I enjoy it so much now. I am running seven miles, five days a week.
